Following the success of the Ignite workshop sponsored by ETL Systems and hosted at Warwick University in July, the curriculum group is developing NMiTE’s approach to delivering the Liberal Engineering equivalent of an MEng degree in three 46-week academic years.
The team has recently been joined by Dr Helen Rogers, formerly a senior research associate at Cambridge University. She joins HTET Trustee Shelagh Wynn and Professors Peter Goodhew and Kel Fidler, both fellows of the Royal Academy of Engineering. Work is underway to define the educational culture, course structure and industry input to the curriculum.
In January, again supported by ETL Systems, we will embark on a major programme to engage engineering employers in the creation and delivery of our curriculum.
