Earlier this month, Hereford Sixth Form College held a ‘Futures Day’ which was aimed at their students just coming to the end of their first year at the College and considering their career options. There were many outside speakers and among them was our own Tony Martin.
Tony participated in two Q and A sessions on the topics of Careers in Engineering and STEM subjects and Personal statements, CVs and interviews in engineering.
Both took the form of panels with lively Q & As and the second included a practice interview exercise which was enjoyed by all the participants. Several of the students planning to go on and study engineering were very interested in the University project and expressed interest in being in our first group of development students in September 2017.
Working with schools is an important plank of our activity and it was great to see our project receiving such support from a group of potential users.
